Polypperes is a term used in speculative biology and some science fiction to designate a hypothetical group of colonial cnidarians. In this concept, polypperes consist of many polyps that are anatomically specialized yet functionally integrated through a shared tissue network, enabling coordinated feeding, growth, and resource distribution. The name is a coinage combining "polyp" with a pluralizing suffix to imply a multi-polyp colony.

Taxonomy and classification: The polypperes are not recognized by formal taxonomic databases and have no fixed taxonomy. Authors place the concept within the phylum Cnidaria, often near hydroid colonies, but treat it as a theoretical construct rather than a described taxon. Descriptions vary between works, reflecting different assumptions about colony organization and life cycles.
