PolymerKomposite is a composite material consisting of a polymer matrix reinforced with fibers or fillers. The matrix binds the reinforcement, transmits load, and provides shape and environmental resistance, while the reinforcement carries most of the mechanical load and contributes to stiffness.

Common polymer matrices include thermosetting resins such as epoxy, phenolic, and polyester, and thermoplastics such as polypropylene, polyethylene, and PEEK. Reinforcements range from continuous fibers like carbon, glass, and aramid to short or long fibers and particulate fillers.
