Polyesteritäyte, commonly known as polyester fiberfill or polyester stuffing, is a synthetic textile fiber used primarily as a lightweight, insulating filling material. It is derived from polyester, a type of polymer made from repeating units of the organic compound ethylene terephthalate. Polyester fiberfill is widely utilized in various industries due to its durability, affordability, and versatility.

The production of polyester fiberfill involves melting polyester chips, extruding them through fine nozzles to form thin filaments, and then cutting these filaments into short fibers. These fibers are then processed to create a fluffy, lightweight material that can be easily incorporated into textiles. The resulting product is often used as an alternative to natural fillings like down or cotton, particularly in clothing such as jackets, pillows, and mattresses.

One of the key advantages of polyester fiberfill is its resistance to moisture, making it suitable for outdoor and athletic wear.
