Polaarittomat refers to a class of chemical compounds that lack significant polarity. This lack of polarity arises from the nature of the covalent bonds within the molecule and its overall structure. In a polar molecule, there is an uneven distribution of electron density, leading to a partial positive charge on one end and a partial negative charge on the other. This separation of charge is often due to the presence of electronegative atoms bonded to less electronegative atoms.
