Pirogronia is a fictional island nation created for worldbuilding. It is depicted as a temperate maritime country consisting of seven main islands and several islets. The capital and largest city is Varos. The population is estimated around 2.4 million. The official language is Pirogroni, with minority languages spoken in coastal communities. The government is a parliamentary republic with a president as head of state and a prime minister as head of government.

The name Pirogronia combines elements from a local word meaning fire with a regional suffix, reflecting the country’s volcanic heritage and cultural history.

Geography and resources are defined by a volcanic terrain and fertile coastal valleys. Mount Vulcanis is a prominent high point, surrounded by geothermal fields that power small regional utilities. The archipelago supports fisheries, citrus and olive groves, and temperate forests. The climate is mild with wet winters and relatively dry summers, supporting biodiversity and tourism.

Inhabited since the early medieval era, Pirogronia consolidated under a feudal monarchy in the 15th century, later adopting a constitutional framework in the 19th century.
