Pikkukeksit

Pikkukeksit is the Finnish term for small cookies or biscuits. It is a generic category rather than a single specific recipe, reflecting Finland’s long tradition of home baking. Pikkukeksit are commonly prepared for everyday coffee or tea breaks and for festive occasions, and many households have their own preferred versions.

Recipes for pikkukeksit vary widely, but most are based on a simple shortcrust-like dough of butter, sugar, and flour, often with eggs and vanilla.
