Pevents
Pevents refers to a type of security vulnerability that can occur in certain software and hardware systems. These events are often related to timing attacks and can allow attackers to infer sensitive information by observing the precise timing of operations. For instance, an attacker might measure how long it takes for a cryptographic operation to complete. Variations in this timing can sometimes reveal patterns associated with the data being processed, such as secret keys.
The discovery of pevents has led to increased awareness of the importance of constant-time programming practices.
