Pernese

Pernese refers to anything related to the fictional world of Pern, created by author Anne McCaffrey. Pern is a planet colonized by humans centuries ago, but a catastrophic societal collapse led to the loss of advanced technology. The inhabitants of Pern now live in a pre-industrial society, heavily reliant on a symbiotic relationship with dragons. These dragons, telepathically bonded to human riders, are essential for defending Pern from "Thread," a deadly airborne organism that falls from the planet's red star.

The core of the Pernese culture revolves around the dragonriders and their dragons.
