Periodeneffekt
The Periodeneffekt, also known as the periodicity effect or periodic anomaly, refers to an observed deviation from the expected trends in the properties of elements in the periodic table. Specifically, it describes the occasional reversal of trends in properties such as atomic radius, ionization energy, and electronegativity between adjacent elements in the same period.
These effects are not universal but are most noticeable in the transition metals and the p-block elements.
The Periodeneffekt arises from subtle changes in electron configurations and the interplay of nuclear charge, electron
