Peneda

Peneda is a small village located in the northern region of Portugal, within the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez. It is situated in the heart of the Peneda-Gerês National Park, a protected area renowned for its stunning natural landscapes, diverse flora and fauna, and rich cultural heritage. The village itself is characterized by its traditional granite houses, narrow cobblestone streets, and a peaceful, rural atmosphere.

Historically, Peneda has been an agricultural community, with its inhabitants relying on farming and animal husbandry for their livelihood. The surrounding landscape offers ample grazing land, and sheep and goats are common sights in the area.
