Pelennor
Pelennor is a region in the fictional land of Gondor in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. The name is most often associated with the Pelennor Fields, a broad, fertile plain that lies before the city of Minas Tirith during the later ages of the Third Age. The plain has historically served as an agricultural area for the capital, supporting crops and grazing for its inhabitants. The Pelennor region also includes lands around the ruined city of Osgiliath, which sits on the western edge of the plain near the river Anduin.
