Patroklus was a prominent figure in Greek mythology, most famously known for his close companionship with Achilles during the Trojan War. According to Homer's Iliad, Patroklus was the son of Menoetius and was exiled to Phthia after accidentally killing a playmate. There, he met and became inseparable from Achilles, the greatest warrior of the Achaeans. Their bond is often interpreted as one of deep friendship or even love.
