Parklasid

Parklasid is a term used in urban design discussions to describe a concept that blends parking infrastructure with park-like public space. The idea treats parking as part of the broader public realm rather than a standalone function, aiming to soften the visual impact of cars and create value on streets and in corridors where parking is common.

Parklasid design concepts emphasize flexibility and climate resilience: parking structures with permeable paving or green roofs, integrated trees and planters, shaded seating, and well-lit pedestrian routes.
