Parasitovorax
Parasitovorax is a genus of parasitic wasps belonging to the family Braconidae. These wasps are known for their unique life cycle, where the adult female lays her eggs inside the host, typically a caterpillar or a beetle larva. The eggs hatch into larvae, which then feed on the host's internal tissues, eventually killing the host. After the host dies, the wasp larvae emerge from the cadaver and pupate. The adult wasps then emerge from the pupae and begin the cycle anew.
Parasitovorax wasps are of significant interest to scientists due to their potential as biological control agents.
The taxonomy of Parasitovorax is complex, with many species described over the years. However, recent genetic
