Palmaristik
Palmaristik is the study and practice of examining the palm to interpret its lines, shapes, and mounts as indicators of a person’s character, health, or potential future events. In many contexts it is considered a branch of palmistry or chiromancy, though some communities prefer the term palmaristik to emphasize a systematic method of observation and interpretation. The principal features analyzed include the major lines (heart line, head line, life line, fate line where present), minor lines, the texture and formation of the palm, finger shapes and nail characteristics, and the mounts or raised areas corresponding to various mounts on the palm (e.g., Mounts of Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Apollo, Mercury, and Luna). The pattern of lines and the relative prominence of different mounts are interpreted to reflect temperament and potential life path.
