Paisuttu

Paisuttu is a traditional dish originating from the South Indian state of Kerala. It is essentially a savory pancake or crepe made from rice flour and coconut. The batter is typically prepared by grinding soaked rice, grated coconut, and a pinch of salt. Sometimes, a small amount of fenugreek seeds or curry leaves are added to the batter for enhanced flavor and aroma.

The batter is then spread thinly onto a hot, greased flat pan or tawa, similar to how one would make a dosa or crepe. The paisuttu cooks relatively quickly, resulting in a thin, slightly crispy exterior and a soft, yielding interior. It is often cooked until it develops a golden-brown color.
