Paineluomenetelmiä

Paineluomenetelmiä, known in English as pressure molding methods, are a class of manufacturing processes used to shape materials, primarily plastics, by applying pressure. These techniques leverage forces to deform a pliable material into a desired form, often within a mold.

One common type is injection molding, where molten material is injected under high pressure into a mold cavity. Another significant method is compression molding, typically used for thermosetting plastics and rubber. In this process, a pre-measured amount of material is placed into a heated mold cavity, and the mold is closed, applying heat and pressure to cure the material into its final shape. Transfer molding is similar to compression molding but involves transferring the material from a heated pot into the mold cavity.

Blow molding is used for creating hollow objects like bottles and containers. It involves heating a plastic tube (parison) and then inflating it with air inside a mold cavity, forcing the plastic to conform to the mold's shape. Thermoforming involves heating a plastic sheet until it is pliable and then stretching it over or into a mold using vacuum or pressure.

These methods are widely used across various industries, including automotive, electronics, packaging, and consumer goods, due to their efficiency in producing complex shapes with high precision and in large volumes. The choice of method depends on the material properties, desired product characteristics, production volume, and cost considerations.
