Paineilmapullo

Paineilmapullo, often referred to as a compressed air canister or air duster, is a common household and office item used for cleaning dust and debris from hard-to-reach areas. It typically consists of a metal can containing a liquefied or compressed gas, such as difluoroethane or isobutane, under pressure. When the nozzle is pressed, the gas is released rapidly, creating a strong blast of air that dislodges particles.

These canisters are widely used for cleaning electronics like computer keyboards, circuit boards, and camera lenses. The targeted airflow can reach into small crevices where a cloth or brush might not be effective. While generally safe, it's important to use them as directed. Tilting the can too much during use can cause the propellant to spray out as a liquid, which can be harmful to surfaces and skin due to extreme cold. Inhaling the contents is also strongly discouraged due to potential health risks.

Paineilmapullo refills are not typically available for consumer-level cans. Once the propellant is depleted, the entire can is generally disposed of. Proper disposal methods should be followed, often involving checking local recycling guidelines for aerosol cans. The effectiveness of a paineilmapullo diminishes as the gas is expelled, and eventually, the can will contain only residual pressure.
