PLCIP1
PLCIP1 stands for phospholipase C interacting protein 1. It is a protein encoded by the PLCIP1 gene in humans. The protein has been described as an interactor of phospholipase C (PLC) enzymes and is thought to participate in the regulation of phosphoinositide signaling pathways, though detailed mechanistic roles remain to be clarified. Available studies to date have not definitively assigned a catalytic activity to PLCIP1.
Localization analyses have reported cytoplasmic distribution with possible association to membrane compartments in certain contexts, but
PLCIP1 was named for its demonstrated interaction with PLC enzymes. Research on PLCIP1 is ongoing, with work
Public databases such as UniProt or NCBI Gene provide entry pages for PLCIP1 with basic gene and
