PLCControllers

PLCControllers are a type of industrial computer control system that continuously monitors the state of input devices and makes decisions based upon a custom program to control the state of output devices. Programmable Logic Controllers, or PLCs, are designed for the rugged environment of industrial automation. They are used to automate electromechanical processes, such as the control of machinery on factory assembly lines, amusement rides, or lighting fixtures.

PLCs are built to withstand harsh conditions like dust, moisture, extreme temperatures, and vibration. They are also designed for reliability and ease of maintenance. The core of a PLC consists of a microprocessor, memory, and input/output (I/O) interfaces. Other programming languages like function block diagram, structured text, instruction list, and sequential function chart are also supported by different PLC manufacturers. This allows for the creation of control logic that dictates how the PLC responds to various inputs and controls the outputs.
