PDSArammeverk refers to a methodology for continuous improvement. The acronym PDSA stands for Plan, Do, Study, Act. This framework is widely used in various fields, including healthcare, manufacturing, and education, to systematically address problems and implement changes.

The Plan phase involves identifying a problem or an opportunity for improvement, setting goals, and developing a plan to implement a proposed change. This includes defining what is to be done, by whom, when, and how it will be measured.

The Do phase is the execution of the plan. This involves carrying out the proposed change on a small scale, often as a test or pilot. Data is collected during this phase to understand the effects of the change.

The Study phase is the analysis of the results. The data collected during the Do phase is reviewed to determine whether the change had the intended effect. This involves comparing the results against the initial goals and understanding any unexpected outcomes.

The Act phase involves taking action based on the findings of the Study phase. If the change was successful, it is implemented more broadly. If the change was not successful, the team learns from the experience and may decide to modify the original plan or abandon the change altogether and start the PDSA cycle again with a new plan. The PDSA cycle is an iterative process, meaning it can be repeated multiple times to achieve further improvements.
