PATCHiin

PATCHiin is an open-source patch management framework designed to simplify the discovery, validation, distribution, and application of software patches across heterogeneous environments. It provides a common data model for patch metadata, a set of automation primitives, and client agents for various platforms.

Origin and goals: The project arose from community efforts to reduce fragmentation of patch formats and channels used by operating systems, applications, and embedded devices. PATCHiin seeks to unify patch delivery, dependency handling, and rollback capabilities, enabling administrators to plan patch windows more reliably.
