Oscillatorkrets, often translated as oscillator circuit, is an electronic circuit that generates a repetitive, oscillating electronic signal. This signal is typically a waveform, such as a sine wave, square wave, triangle wave, or sawtooth wave. Oscillators are fundamental building blocks in many electronic devices and systems.

The core principle behind an oscillator circuit is positive feedback.
