Oricorio is a dual-type Fairy/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation VII, appearing in the Pokémon Sun and Moon games as well as subsequent titles. It evolves from Cutiefly at level 35, and its design draws inspiration from the Japanese firefly, known for its glowing patterns and nocturnal behavior. Oricorio exists in two distinct forms: its standard form, which resembles a firefly with a bright orange body and glowing patterns, and its "Pom-Pom" form, which features a larger, rounder body with a prominent orange crest on its head.

Oricorio is known for its playful and energetic personality, often seen flitting around in search of sweet nectar. It is particularly fond of the fruit "Pom-Pom Berry," which it uses to create a glowing pattern on its body, enhancing its attractiveness to potential mates. This berry also plays a role in its evolution from Cutiefly, as holding one during the evolution process determines whether Oricorio takes on its standard or Pom-Pom form.

In combat, Oricorio possesses a variety of useful moves, including high-powered Fairy-type attacks like Dazzling Gleam and Psychic-type moves such as Psychic. Its Flying typing grants it access to aerial maneuvers like Air Slash and Brave Bird, while its Fairy typing provides resistance to several common types, including Fighting, Bug, and Dark. Oricorio’s Speed stat is notably high, making it a fast and agile Pokémon in battle.
