Optically tracked refers to a method of motion capture that utilizes optical markers and cameras to record and analyze the movement of objects or individuals. This technology is widely used in various fields, including virtual reality, animation, sports science, and medical rehabilitation. The fundamental principle involves attaching reflective or active markers to the subject. These markers are then illuminated by infrared light, and a series of cameras strategically positioned around the capture volume detect the reflections from these markers.
By triangulating the position of the markers from multiple camera viewpoints, the system can accurately reconstruct
