Ocol

Ocol is a barangay, or a small rural community, located in the province of Antipolo, Rizal, Philippines. It is one of the 33 barangays in the jurisdiction of Antipolo, situated on the eastern part of the city. Ocol is nestled in the midst of a rolling terrain of hills and valleys, with its terrain varying from densely forested areas to agricultural lands.

According to the 2015 Philippine Census, Ocol has a population of over 13,000 residents. The barangay boasts a wide range of income-generating activities such as agriculture, livestock management, and trade and commerce. Its resides engage in farming and livestock rearing on a small to medium scale, producing rice, vegetables, and fruits.

Ocol is bounded by several barangays and municipalities namely: Sumulong in the north, Mayamot in the south, Poblacion in the west, and Dela Paz in the east. The Manila East Road runs through Ocol, providing transportation links and commercial access to Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

At present, the majority of Ocol residents rely on the paved roads for transportation to reach the nearby towns and cities. Ocol Barangay Hall is the central government office in the barangay, and is responsible for providing a range of public services to the residents such as water and sanitation; lands, housing, and urban development; and social welfare and development services. Overall, Ocol remains a small, tight-knit community that gets by with minimal electronic access, starting all out like all of its social enjeunes mostly in states surrounding every town.
