Ocklusivitet refers to the ability of the brain to selectively focus on specific information while blocking out irrelevant sensory input. This cognitive process enables individuals to concentrate on a particular task or stimulus while ignoring external distractions.

The term ocklusivitet is derived from the Latin word "occlusio," meaning "obstruction" or "blockage." It is related to the neural mechanisms that underlie attentional control, including the functioning of the prefrontal cortex and the anterior cingulate cortex.
