Nürnberglagarna, also known as the Nuremberg Laws, were a series of laws issued by the Nazi regime in Germany between 1935 and 1939. These laws were enacted to enforce the Nazi ideology of Aryan supremacy and to marginalize and eventually eliminate the Jewish population in Germany and occupied territories. The most significant of these laws was the Nuremberg Law for the Protection of German Blood and German Honor, passed in 1935. This law defined who was considered an Aryan and who was not, and it prohibited marriages and extramarital relations between Aryans and non-Aryans. It also restricted the citizenship rights of non-Aryans and prohibited them from holding certain public offices.
