Närviringist

Närviringist is a term used in Finnish biology to describe a ring-shaped network of nerve tissue that encircles a central structure and serves as a principal processing and integration center in certain nervous systems. The concept is closely related to the general idea of a nerve ring.

Anatomically, närviringist consists of neurites and neuronal cell bodies arranged in a loop, and it connects to longitudinal nerve cords or radial nerves.
