Näppäimistötilassa, literally “in keyboard mode,” is a functional state in certain operating systems and software applications that modifies how keyboard input is interpreted and handled. The mode is normally activated when a device or program requires more direct, low‑level control of key events, such as during text editing, command‑line use, or gaming contexts where precise input timing is essential.
