Numeronäppäimistö is a Finnish term that translates to "numeric keypad" or "numpad" in English. It refers to the separate block of keys found on most computer keyboards, typically located on the right side. This section of the keyboard contains the digits 0 through 9, along with mathematical operators such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. It also includes a decimal point and an Enter key.

The primary function of the numeronäppäimistö is to provide a more efficient and convenient way to input numerical data compared to using the number keys located above the alphabetical characters. This is especially beneficial for tasks involving extensive data entry, such as accounting, spreadsheets, or programming, where rapid and accurate number input is crucial.
