Nollanteen

Nollanteen is a term that has emerged in recent years, primarily within online communities and discussions related to generational sociology and identity. It refers to a conceptual group of individuals who do not strongly identify with any specific generation, often feeling a sense of detachment from the characteristics and stereotypes commonly associated with Millennials, Gen Z, or other established cohorts. The term itself is a portmanteau of "nolla," meaning zero or none in several languages, and "teen," implying a youth or young adult demographic.

Those who describe themselves as nollanteen often express a feeling of being "in-between" or that the generational labels do not accurately capture their experiences or perspectives. They may feel that the defining traits of other generations do not resonate with them, or that their formative years have been shaped by a unique set of socio-cultural and technological influences that transcend traditional generational boundaries. This can include growing up during periods of rapid technological change, economic uncertainty, and evolving social norms.

The concept of nollanteen highlights a potential fluidity and complexity in how individuals perceive their generational belonging.
