Nixies

Nixies are mythical aquatic creatures found in European folklore, particularly in German, Scandinavian, and Slavic traditions. Often depicted as beautiful but dangerous water spirits, they are typically described as humanoid or mermaid-like beings with long hair, webbed hands, and sometimes fish tails or scales. In many tales, nixies are associated with rivers, lakes, and ponds, where they are said to lure humans—particularly children and young women—into the water, either to drown them or to drag them to their underwater domains.
