Nippusiteet

Nippusiteet, often translated as "bundle ties" or "cable ties," are fastening devices typically made of plastic, used for securing or bundling items together. They consist of a flexible plastic strap with a series of interlocking teeth on one side and a smooth head containing a ratchet mechanism. When the strap is threaded through the head, the teeth engage with the ratchet, creating a permanent or semi-permanent lock.

These fasteners are widely used in various industries and everyday applications. In electronics, they are essential for organizing and managing wires and cables, preventing tangles and improving airflow. The automotive industry employs them for securing hoses, wiring harnesses, and other components. They are also found in construction for bundling rebar, in packaging for sealing bags and securing loads, and in general household use for tidying up cables, securing garden hoses, or temporarily fixing objects.

Nippusiteet come in a variety of sizes, strengths, and materials, including nylon, stainless steel, and specialized polymers, to suit different environmental conditions and load requirements. Some are designed for high temperatures, UV resistance, or corrosive environments. While most are single-use, reusable variants with a release tab are also available.
