Niiskusensiooni is a term used in sensory science and consumer research to describe the perceived presence of moisture on or within a material or environment. It encompasses experiences from faint dampness to overt wetness and is distinct from objective humidity measurements or moisture content. The concept is applied to understand how moisture influences comfort, perceived quality, and usability in products such as textiles, furniture, building materials, and food packaging.

Assessment of niiskusensiooni typically relies on subjective sensory evaluation, with panels rating the intensity of moisture sensation on a defined scale. Objective data, including relative humidity, surface moisture, and water activity, are collected to complement the sensory results.
