Niegrzeczno

Niegrzeczno is not a standard or widely recognized term in contemporary Polish. It does not appear in major dictionaries as a separate lexical item. In normative Polish, the concept of not being well-behaved is usually expressed with the adjective niegrzeczny, the noun niegrzeczność, or the adverb niegrzecznie. The form niegrzeczno does not fit regular Polish inflection patterns and is generally considered nonstandard or incorrect.

Linguistic status and origins. Because Polish normally uses niegrzeczny (rude, impolite) and niegrzeczność (rudeness) rather than a neuter noun ending in -o, niegrzeczno is not an established derivation. If it appears, it is typically in nonstandard contexts such as informal writing, typographical errors, marketing or fictional texts where authors intentionally deviate from standard forms for stylistic effect. It may also arise as a misspelling by learners or in casual online communication.

Usage and guidance. In formal writing and standard Polish, niegrzeczno should be avoided. Writers and editors should instead use niegrzeczny (adjective), niegrzeczność (noun), or niegrzecznie (adverb) to convey the notion of discourteous or impolite behavior. When encountered in media or literature, it is usually treated as a nonstandard coinage or stylistic choice rather than a defined entry in the Polish lexicon.
