Neuromotoros

Neuromotoros is a term that refers to the complex interplay between the nervous system and the motor system. It encompasses the processes by which the brain plans, controls, and executes voluntary and involuntary movements. This intricate system involves a hierarchy of neural structures, from the cerebral cortex, responsible for higher-level cognitive planning of movement, to the brainstem and spinal cord, which relay motor commands to the muscles.

The neuromotor system relies on sensory feedback to refine and adapt movements. Proprioception, the sense of the relative position of one's own parts of the body and strength of effort being employed in movement, plays a crucial role. Information from the muscles, joints, and skin is continuously sent back to the brain, allowing for adjustments to ensure smooth, coordinated, and accurate motor output.

Conditions such as stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and cerebral palsy are examples of neurological disorders that affect neuromotor function. These conditions can manifest as difficulties with balance, coordination, muscle strength, speed of movement, and fine motor skills.
