These methods allow researchers and clinicians to visualize the structure, function, and chemical activity of the brain. Different neuroimaging techniques offer distinct insights. Structural imaging focuses on the physical anatomy of the brain, revealing details about its size, shape, and any abnormalities such as tumors or lesions. Functional imaging, on the other hand, measures brain activity by detecting changes in blood flow or metabolism, indicating which areas of the brain are active during specific tasks or states of rest.
