Netzbenutzung, often translated as "network usage" or "grid usage," refers to the utilization of a public utility network, most commonly an electricity or gas grid, by consumers and producers. This concept is fundamental to the operation of regulated utility markets. In essence, Netzbenutzung dictates the rules and conditions under which participants can connect to and draw energy from or feed energy into the public grid.
