Negatiiviväriferroelektriset

Negatiiviväriferroelektriset, often translated as negative-color ferroelectrics or inverted ferroelectrics, is a concept in materials science describing ferroelectric materials that exhibit an unusual polarization behavior. In a typical ferroelectric material, applying an electric field causes a spontaneous electric polarization to align with the field, and this polarization persists even after the field is removed. Upon reversal of the electric field, the polarization reverses its direction.

However, in negatiiviväriferroelektriset, the relationship between the applied electric field and the polarization is inverted in certain conditions or regions of the material. This means that instead of aligning with the applied field, the polarization might exhibit a tendency to align in the opposite direction, or its response to field reversal is non-standard.
