Naravian

Naravian is a sovereign nation on the Naravian Peninsula, along the eastern coast of the continent of Alara. It covers about 42,000 square kilometers and has a temperate climate with coastal plains meeting the Silver Range in the north. The capital and largest city is Naraville. The official language is Naravian; English is widely used in administration and business, and several minority languages are spoken nationwide. The population is about 3.4 million.

Historically inhabited by Naravian communities, the modern state declared independence from the Peloran Empire in 1956. A constitution establishing a representative government was adopted in 1957. Since the 1990s, Naravian has pursued democratic reforms, expanding civil liberties, electoral transparency, and decentralization. It maintains a multiparty system and a neutral foreign policy emphasizing regional cooperation and maritime safety.

Naravian operates as a parliamentary republic. The president is the largely ceremonial head of state, while the prime minister is the head of government. The unicameral legislature has 85 members elected by proportional representation for four-year terms. The economy is diversified, with strong fishing, forestry, light manufacturing, and services sectors. Key exports include seafood, timber, agricultural products, and machinery. The currency is the Naravian dinar (NAD).

Ethnic Naravians form the majority, with minority communities such as coastal Ulans and mountain Dorsians. Education is widely emphasized, and literacy is high. Cultural life centers on literature, music, and regional cuisine—notably seafood dishes and olive oil-based products. National and regional holidays mark independence, harvests, and historic heritage. Naravian maintains active participation in international organizations and regional trade networks.
