Nalut

Nalut is a municipality and oasis town in the Nalut District of the Tripolitania region in northwestern Libya. It is situated in the Nafusa Mountains, approximately 250 kilometers southwest of Tripoli. The town is known for its distinctive architecture, characterized by multi-story, fortified houses built from stone and mudbrick, often clustered together for defense. These traditional structures are a testament to the region's historical Ksar architecture.

The economy of Nalut is largely agricultural, with inhabitants cultivating olives, dates, and barley. The surrounding arid landscape provides a backdrop for pastoralism as well.
