NYPDs

NYPDs is an informal plural referring to the personnel of the New York Police Department, the municipal law enforcement agency for New York City. The NYPD polices five boroughs and is one of the largest police departments in the United States, with a large workforce of sworn officers and civilian staff trained to carry out a range of policing and investigative duties.

The NYPD is organized under a Police Commissioner appointed by the mayor and includes multiple bureaus and units.
