Méhari
The Citroën Méhari is a whimsical, lightweight recreational vehicle produced by the French manufacturer Citroën from 1968 to 1987. Designed by Jean-Louis Barrault, it was based on the chassis and mechanicals of the Citroën Dyane, which in turn was an evolution of the 2CV. The Méhari's most distinctive feature was its body, constructed from ABS plastic and Arcopal panels, making it incredibly resistant to corrosion and easy to clean. This design choice allowed for a very open and versatile body style, typically offered as a two-seater with a removable canvas roof and doors, though four-seat versions were also available.
Its minimalist construction and simple, air-cooled two-cylinder engine, borrowed from the 2CV, meant the Méhari was
