Myrddraal

The Myrddraal, often referred to as "Draghkar" by the Aiel and "Half-man" by common folk, is a formidable creature from Robert Jordan's epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time. They are the lieutenants of the Shadow and serve as elite shock troops and enforcers for the Dark One.

Physically, Myrddraal are tall, gaunt beings with pale skin and sharp, predatory features. Their most distinctive characteristic is the complete absence of eyes, yet they possess a keen sense of awareness and can perceive their surroundings as if they had sight. They move with unnatural speed and grace, making them incredibly dangerous in combat. Their strength far surpasses that of a normal human, and they are exceptionally resilient to injury.

Myrddraal are masters of the sword, wielding long, curved blades with deadly proficiency. They are also capable of wielding the One Power, though their ability is limited and primarily used for offensive purposes. They are known for their unsettling, chilling laughter and their ability to instill paralyzing fear in their enemies.

These creatures are not born but are created through a dark ritual that transforms human males into these monstrous beings. They are utterly loyal to the Shadow and possess a singular focus on carrying out the Dark One's will. Myrddraal are a persistent threat throughout the series, appearing in critical battles and often serving as personal guards or assassins for the Forsaken. Their presence is a clear indicator of the Shadow's direct involvement.
