In the in-world language, 'muud' is rendered as 'change' and 'eta' as 'process' or 'path,' giving the sense of guiding change through collective action.

The ritual unfolds during the annual Confluence, when participants form a circle and perform synchronized steps, vocal chants, and color-coded gestures. Decisions are reached by consensus, with ritual timing constraining debate and maintaining social cohesion.

Variants exist among different clans, with local leaders adding or omitting elements such as drum patterns, banners, or whispered deliberations held before the main gathering. The imagery of woven threads symbolically represents voices joined into a single direction.

Within the fictional setting, muudeta serves as a lens on governance, memory, and change. Critics in-universe view it as essential to stability, while some characters challenge its rigidity, using dissent as a catalyst for evolution.
