Multiplizierte is the Präteritum (simple past) form of the German verb multiplizieren, which means to multiply. The related past participle is multipliziert, used with haben to form the present perfect: Ich habe die Zahlen multipliziert. The stem is multiplizier-, yielding forms such as multiplizierte. The form multiplizierte is thus used to describe a completed multiplication in the past, primarily in written language or formal narration; in everyday speech the Perfekt (hat multipliziert) is more common.
