Multiorg

Multiorg is a shorthand or informal term used across different fields to indicate involvement with more than one organizational unit or more than one biological organ. Because it is not a standardized term, its exact meaning depends on the domain in which it appears.

In medical contexts, multiorg commonly appears as part of phrases like multiorgan or multi-organ to describe conditions or procedures that involve multiple organ systems. A well-known related concept is multiorgan dysfunction syndrome (MODS), a critical condition in which two or more organ systems fail to function adequately, often in the setting of severe illness such as sepsis or trauma.
