Motorbruinstuiten is a colloquial term originating from parts of Germany, particularly Bavaria, and has spread into other German-speaking regions. It refers to a specific type of vehicle modification, primarily seen on older, often well-used motorcycles. The term literally translates to "motor brown buttocks" or "motor brown behind."

The "motor" part is straightforward, referring to the engine or the motorcycle itself. The "bruinstuiten" describes the condition of the rider's rear end after a prolonged ride, especially in warmer weather or on dusty roads. It implies a darkening or soiling of the rider's clothing, specifically their trousers or shorts, due to contact with the hot engine parts, oil, grease, or general road grime.

This phenomenon is often associated with motorcycles that lack extensive fairings or bodywork, exposing the engine and exhaust systems more directly.
