Moodulita is a term used in design and media studies to describe a modular approach to shaping user mood through combinations of discrete design elements. It treats affective states as manipulable outcomes that can be influenced by assembling reusable modules such as sound cues, lighting changes, pacing, color palettes, and interactive patterns.

The concept emerged in contemporary discussions of affective computing and immersive media during the 2020s, without formal standardization. The name blends mood with modularity, signaling a design philosophy that emphasizes reuse, adaptability, and context sensitivity.

A moodulita module is defined by its inputs, a processing rule, and its outputs. Typical inputs include user actions, environmental data, and narrative context; processing rules specify how inputs map to outputs; outputs include audio cues, brightness shifts, haptic events, or pacing adjustments.
